Ryan's Run 2013

Please join us in memory/honor of Ryan Dustin Wagner who died on July 29th, 2011 at the age of six after a brave 10 month battle with lymphoma.

Saturday, July 27, 2013. Start time 7:00am

All proceeds from this race will go to Ryan's Foundation whose mission is to fund a music therapy program for children in Hawaii with cancer, and to give these children ukuleles, as well as provide ukulele lessons.

5K and 10K Course -
5K: Depart Mokule’ia Beach Park and run towards Kaena Point and turn around at the 2.5K mark. 10K: Depart Mokule’ia Beach Park and run towards Waialua and turn around at the 5K mark.

T-Shirts will be given to participants at packet pick-up. No size changing unless sizes are available after the event. T-Shirts guaranteed for first 200 to register.

25 July: Sports Authority, Ward Ave from 5pm to 8pm. 26 July: North Shore Quick Silver Boardriders Club, 66-250 Kam Hwy, Halei'wa from 5pm to 8pm. 27 July: Mokule'ia Beach Park from 6am to 6:45am.

All finishers are eligible for prizes on race day!

We need your help to further expand, and grow Ryan’s Light Music therapy program so that we may bring some light to the darkest of days for the pediatric oncology keiki of Hawaii. Your donation will go towards music therapy for pediatric cancer patients towards the purchase of ukuleles for these children and towards funding child life program with musical instruments. Any and all donations are truly appreciated and will also help to fund pediatric cancer research so that we may find a cure.

Ryan’s Light is a non-profit organization registered in Hawaii.

Ryan’s light is currently seeking 501(c)(3) status. Until then any donations will not be tax deductible.

Waiver, Release and Indemnification

I AGREE to comply with the rules, regulations, and event instructions of the Ryan's Run.  I understand that participating in a road race is a potentially hazardous activity and can result in serious injury or death.  I am aware of and I expressly assume all inherent risks associated with participating in this event, including, but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, and objects, the effects of weather including high heat and humidity, traffic, and the conditions of the road.  

In CONSIDERATION of your accepting this entry, I for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release from any and all claims for injuries and damages I may have against the Ryan's Run Committee, the City and County of Honolulu, State of Hawaii, the United States of America, the Sponsors, their agents and representatives caused by the negligence of any of them arising out of my participation in this event, including pre and post race activities.  

I ATTEST that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for completion of the Ryan's Run.  

I CONSENT to receive medical treatment which may be advisable in the event of illness or injuries suffered by me during this event, and I agree to pay for the costs of my medical treatment.  

I GIVE PERMISSION for the free use of my name, voice or picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising promotion or other account of this event.  

I AGREE that electronic submission of this application constitutes agreement to all the terms of this waiver and release statement.

I have read this agreement and fully understand its terms. I understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it, and sign in it freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
